Turn Document Types On or Off for a Carrier Connection

Learn how to enable or disable specific document types for an existing carrier connection and review any related AI Assistant workflow steps.

Written by Kyle Domenichelli

Overview

Use document-type settings to control which documents the Eventual Platform automatically downloads for a carrier connection. You can enable or disable supported document types from the carrier connection details page.

When a document type has a matching AI Assistant, the setup flow also shows how that assistant will process the document after it is downloaded.

Before You Begin

Make sure the carrier connection already exists in Carrier Connections. If the carrier has not been added yet, start with the Adding Carriers guide.

Note: Only document types supported for that carrier connection are available to turn on or off.

Open The Carrier Connection

  1. Go to Carrier Connections.

  2. Open the carrier connection you want to update.

  3. Find the Document types to download section.

Understand The Document Type List

The Document types to download section shows which document types are currently enabled and which are not enabled for the selected connection.

Area

What it means

Enabled

The number of document types currently turned on for automatic downloads.

Not Enabled

The number of supported document types currently turned off.

Commercial Lines

Commercial Lines document types available for the connection.

Personal Lines

Personal Lines document types available for the connection.

Others

Additional supported document types that do not fall under Personal Lines or Commercial Lines.

Tip: If there are many supported document types, use View All to expand the list. Select Show Less to collapse it again.

Turn On A Document Type

  1. In Document types to download, find the document type you want to enable.

  2. Turn on the switch next to that document type.

  3. Review the confirmation or AI Assistant workflow message that appears.

  4. Select the action shown in the window to continue.

After the document type is enabled, Eventual can automatically download that document type for the selected carrier connection.

Review AI Assistant Workflow Steps

Some document types have a matching AI Assistant. When you enable one of those document types, Eventual may show the workflow steps that will run when that document type is received.

What you see

What it means

Workflow Steps

An active AI Assistant is already configured for that document type. Review the steps, then confirm to enable the document type.

AI Assistant is inactive

An AI Assistant exists for that document type, but it is not active yet. Select Review Steps & Enable to review the workflow before continuing.

No AI Assistant configured

No AI Assistant is currently configured for that document type. Select Request Help if you want Eventual support to help set one up.

No workflow steps

An AI Assistant exists, but it does not have workflow steps for that document type. Select Request Help if you want support to help complete the setup.

Note: If enabling the document type activates an AI Assistant, that assistant will apply going forward for that document type across all carriers.

Turn Off A Document Type

  1. In Document types to download, find the document type you want to disable.

  2. Turn off the switch next to that document type.

  3. In the confirmation window, select Disable.

After the document type is disabled, Eventual stops automatic downloads for that document type on the selected carrier connection.

Note: Turning off a document type for one carrier connection stops downloads for that carrier and document type. It does not remove the document type from other carriers, and it does not delete the AI Assistant from your account.

New Document Types

Some document types may show a New badge. This means the document type was recently added as a supported option for that carrier connection.
