Review Documents That Need a Policy Match

Learn how to review retrieved documents that need a policy match, use Learn this, and trigger AI Runs.

Written by Kyle Domenichelli

Overview

When a retrieved document cannot be matched automatically, it needs manual review before AI Runs can continue. Use the review process to confirm the document details, select the correct policy, and teach the Eventual Platform how to handle similar documents in the future.

When A Document Needs Review

A document may need review when Eventual cannot confidently match it to the right policy or policy line. In this case, the document appears with a review action instead of continuing automatically.

You may see review-required documents from:

  • Document Inbox - Select Review from the document row.

  • AI Runs - Select Find Match for a run that needs review.

Open The Review Screen

  1. Go to Document Inbox or AI Runs.

  2. Find the document that needs review.

  3. Select Review or Find Match.

The review screen opens to Find Policy Match.

Review The Document Details

Use the document preview and extracted details to confirm what the document is and which policy it belongs to.

Area

What to check

Document Type

Confirm the document type is correct, such as renewal notice, endorsement, or cancellation notice.

Policy Type

Confirm whether the document is Personal Lines or Commercial Lines.

From Source(s)

Review details extracted from the carrier document.

From AMS

Compare the document details with the selected AMS policy information.

If the document type or policy type is wrong, update the selection before matching the policy.

Find The Right Policy

Use Policy Search to find the policy that matches the document.

  1. Review any Suggested Policies shown on the right side.

  2. If the correct policy is not suggested, search by client name or policy number.

  3. Select the correct policy and policy line.

Tip: If available, use Refresh from AMS when you cannot locate the policy and need the latest policy list.

Use Learn This

After you select a policy, you may see Learn this. Turn on Learn this when this match should help the Eventual Platform recognize similar documents in the future.

The tooltip explains that your revenue assistant will learn this for future policies and lines.

Use Learn this when the selected policy match is correct and representative of how similar documents should be handled going forward. Leave it off if the match is unusual, one-off, or should not influence future matching behavior.

Match And Trigger AI Runs

When the document details and policy match are correct, select Match & Trigger AI Runs. Eventual applies the match and continues the eligible AI workflow steps for the document.

If you changed only the document type or policy type, you may need to select Confirm before triggering AI Runs.

Skip A Document

If the document should not be processed, open the menu and select Skip. Skipping removes the document from the review queue without triggering AI Runs.
